Honest buying guides for one specific category are always welcome, whether you know your way around beauty, home and kitchen, electronics, fitness or pet gear. And the craft of deal-hunting itself, the coupon tricks, the budgeting, the timing of when to buy, fits right in. If you have got an angle we would never have thought of, do not sit on it. Pitch it anyway. We like being surprised.

A couple of ground rules, and they are the obvious ones. The work has to be yours, and it cannot have run somewhere else first. Write it for a real person rather than for a search engine, because that is exactly what our readers can tell apart. Somewhere between 800 and 1500 words usually feels about right, though if you have said everything you needed to in fewer, that is completely fine. Keep your facts straight, and go easy on the self-promotion. A relevant link here or there is no problem at all. A post that turns out to be an advert wearing a disguise is a different story.
